Open-Loop Output Impedance and Interface Intermodulation Distortion In Audio Power Amplifiers

This paper discusses the origins of Interface Intermodulation Distortion (IIM) and the extent to which it does or does not relate to negative feedback and the open loop output impedance of the amplifier. Measurements are shown on real power amplifiers that support the theory and conclusions.
